2. Goo.gl URL Shortener

This one is a great time saver, as it shortens URLs quickly and, therefore, helps you integrate with social media and platforms, e.g. forums, at an easy rate. Its features include an auto copy to clipboard, keyboard shortcut, context menu, QR code, incognito mode, and share with your default mail client. This extension accesses your data on all websites, your tabs, and browsing activity.

3. SEO & Website Analysis by WooRank

This is an all-in-one plugin, one of the best of its kind. It’s focused on technical aspects and on-page SEO. SEO &Website Analysis runs about 20-30 seconds and indicates the number of the basic best practices that the corresponding page follows. The tabs along the top show basic SEO, mobile optimization, usability, technology, social sharing stats and estimate of the traffic level.

4. RDS Bar

This tool is designed to find out the number of site pages indexed by Google. Since you can choose regional settings, you can consider the geographical aspect in your research. You can also check the presence of the website in the Dmoz catalog and the authority of the current page and the domain in SeoMoz base. Other usable metrics include Google page/domain index, Ahrefs metrics by page/domain, SEO Links sellers, Viruses, and Age by WebArch.

5. Redfly SEO Global for Google Search

To check Google search results in different countries, try this extension. It allows you to depersonalize Google search results and add new search with ease. You can search by name, extension, region ID, country code, US ZIP Code, and IP address.

6. Table Booster for Google Analytics

This extension is designed to help you visualize data using a table: its rows contain the keywords while the columns present search statistics such as the number of visits, average time on the site, page/visits, percent of new visits, and other. You can select one of the three visualization types for every metric column.

This extension is usually employed in two ways. First, it displays statistics below each search result when you look for a particular keyword in Google. It has a Global Rank Tracking feature which monitors keywords weekly for Google, Yahoo, and Bing in 200 countries. Second, when you land on a web page, you can see the page’s overall stats by clicking on the Mozbar icon: meta text, alt text, headings, page speed load, markup, and some others.

7. MozBar

8. SEO SERP Workbench

Although it seems that this app contains some bugs to be fixed, SEO SERP is able to check the position of multiple sites given a keyword. This tool saves your time and makes everything simple.

9. IE Tab

Every SEO specialist should be able to double check the page ranking. IE Tab can display web pages using Internet Explorer within Chrome. It creates a list of URLs that will automatically open, edited Sharepoint documents instead of opening read-only, and uses Active X , Java, and Silverlight in Chrome seamlessly.

10. Check My Links

This extension is a link checker that efficiently finds the broken links. SEO specialists, content editors, developers, and web designers use it to check a web page with many links in seconds. In the end, the software highlights in green the links that are valid and in red the ones that are broken.

One of the extensions that we haven’t included in our list is Note AnyWhere. This tool is basic and simple, yet it is useful when you need to leave a note really quickly. You can note your thoughts, ideas, and whatever information you need on any web page. For instance, write a few keywords that you need to add on the page, close your browser, and come back to that text a few days later – you won’t forget about them.

Pro Tips

We suggest to

• Try RDS BAR when you work with link donors; it is especially helpful then. This is a true and tried tool to analyze links, find viruses, identify no-follow links, mark no-index parts of the page, and do more in background mode. It’s also easy to find out what the most viewed SEO-tags (title, description, header 1 and 2) of the page are.

• Use Tag Assistant to check all the counters on the page code in one click, find the errors of implementation, and get Google’s recommendations on how to correct them.

Of course, there are more useful tools to choose from and many of them are worth trying. Your tasks and personal preferences will definitely influence your choice, so don’t install everything; rather, pick the ones that suit your everyday needs in the best manner.
