Friday Catch-Up: Explore Your Site and Make It Advertising-Friendly

We selected 5 tools to help business owners and their teams get initial data about their sites’ performance and receive recommendations on how to improve the situation. Take away some of the guess work and ensure that everything works as it should. Remember that your site is something that your clients and potentials see. Since you have only one chance to make the first impression, do your best to make your site stand out.

Mobile-Friendly Test from Google

Google estimates that most people will use their mobile devices to visit your site in 2017. So, to check whether your site is mobile friendly or not seems a good idea. Google offers a free, easy-to-use tool to test. You can find it here:

  1. 1. Enter the URL of your site and press “Run Test.”
  2. 2. Study the short version of the report.
  3. 3. Check out the additional resources. Note: you need to log into your Google account first.

Mobile Friendly test Google

To get more insights about how mobile can make a difference for your business, look through The Mobile Playbook, the guide to winning with mobile. It is also helpful to check out the Webmaster Central Help Forum if you are involved in the development. The basic guide to setting up Accelerated Mobile Pages can be found here.

Think with Google Improvements

Try another instrument from Google to test how mobile-friendly your site is. You will get scores for your domain: mobile friendliness, mobile speed, and desktop speed. To get a full report, you need to submit your email address. In the incoming email from Google, you will get scores (max 100), improvement suggestions, and relevant stats. Woorank SEO Tools

Remember that after you have checked your site, it’s time for identifying a list of the necessary changes and developing a plan for its implementation. Some improvements are easy-to-make while the others require plenty of work. If the latter is the case, do not rely on your instinct and hire a professional team to get everything done correctly.
