The anniversary 10th Promodo Partners conference was held in Kyiv, on May 16th. This year, over 600 ecommerce executives visited the event to share their best practices, exchange experiences, and expand their professional network.
Traditionally, there are two parallel sessions. On the main stage, owners and C-levels of leading ecommerce businesses in Ukraine, Turkey, and the Czech Republic rose relevant company management issues and gave insights on how they dealt with these. This part was more inspiring and personal growth-oriented. The speeches helped guests to feel they are not alone with their problems; everyone has similar issues in growing businesses.
Particularly, Maxim Bakhmatod, a managing partner of UNIT.City touched on HR problems: how to motivate and develop employees, what keeps people at work, and what should they be punished for?

Igor Smelyansky presented how he managed to transform the bureaucratic government posting service “Ukrposhta”, which is the largest posting chain in Ukraine, and regain consumer trust. Especially, how to perform in old-fashioned conditions and inspire people to change.
Vladyslav Chechotkin, CEO of the largest marketplace in Ukraine Rozetka.ua, shared insights on how the company reacts on purchase returns and how to scale back product return rate to 1.4%.
Emre Ekmekci, the President International at Hepsiburada.com — the leading ecommerce platform in Turkey, and Yusuf Ibili, CEO of the B2CDirect logistics company presented how to penetrate overseas markets and what problems they encountered on the road.
Václav Liška, CEO and co-owner of the largest Czech marketplace Aukro.cz, presented how his business passed through their 5-year crisis, recovered and soared to incredible success.
The second session was utility and ready-to-use. The in-house Promodo experts from PPC, SEO, SMM, Email marketing, Google Analytics and UX/UI departments conducted workshops. They presented case studies and revealed the unobvious but, at the same, widespread mistakes ecommerce businesses make.
